AquaTerra's management
The overall AquaTerra Management Structure is constituted by the following components:

General Assembly
The General Assembly (GA) represents the whole consortium. Each contractor dispatches one representative. The GA is in charge of the overall direction and major deci-sions with regards to the project. In particular, the GA
- decides upon request by the STC and the SC on the review and / or the amendment of terms of the contract and / or the Consortium Agreement,
- decides upon request by the STC and the SC to suspend all or parts of the project or to terminate all or part of the contract,
- agrees on procedures and policies in accordance with the Commission contractual rules, Annex II, General Conditions – Part B for the management of the knowledge,
- decides upon request by the STC and the SC on major changes in sub-projects and work packages.
Scientific-Technical Coordinators
The Scientific-Technical Coordinators (STC) of AquaTerra are the contact point for the Commission concerning all scientific-technical issues. Among others, they
- are the intermediary between the consortium and the Commission for all scientific and technical issues,
- monitor the project progress, deliverables and milestones,
- submit proposals jointly with the SC to the GA related to political, scientific and strategic orientations of the project,
- submit proposals jointly with the SC to the GA to suspend all or part of the Project or to terminate all or part of the contract,
- submit proposals to the SC to terminate the participation of one or more contractors,
- submit proposals to the SC appointing new contractors to enter into the contract and the consortium agreement,
- submit proposals jointly with the SC to the GA for the review and/or the amendment of the terms of the contract.

Financial-Administrative Coordinator
The Financial-Administrativ Coordinator provides the overall administrative and financial management of the project and assures the overall communication related to the financial management with the commission. Among others, the FAC
- is the intermediary between the consortium and the Commission for all financial and administrative issues,
- transfers advance payments allocated among the contractors and keeps related records identifying what portion of the payments made by the Commission has been allocated and / or paid to each contractor,
- controls project progress at the administrative level (check milestones and deliverables against timetable),
- executes activities concerning dissemination and exploitation of knowledge based on the agreements of the GA and the decisions of the SC.

Steering Committee
The Steering Committee, composed of the Sub-project Leaders, performs the overall supervision of the work plan regarding the high number of researchers and thematic groups involved in AquaTerra. The Steering Committee is the decision making body.

Peer Review Panel
The Peer Review Panel
- ensures quality of the research work in the IP at the scientific and stakeholder level,
- judges the scientific quality of the work executed, and recommend on publication and scientific dissemination,
- identifies complementarities with scientific work outside this IP, and linking to these national and international research programs.
Sub-project Leaders
The Sub-project Leaders fulfil all necessary tasks on the work package level, which covers all aspects of internal de-velopment of the respective work packages including the coordination and communication between work package leaders.

Work package Leaders
The bottom-level management (day-to-day-management tasks: work package level – as described in the detailed implementation work plan for the first 18 months) will be performed by the respective WPL. Each WPL assures the adequate performance of his/her work package according to the work plan (fulfilment of deliverables and milestones). Decisions concerning project strategy and subproject interactions will be made by the STC and the SC on the basis of recommendations of the WPL.
